  • 1/2 pound ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 garlic clove chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 ounces Parmesan cheese grated

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground chicken until browned and cooked through about 8 minutes.
  • Drain off any excess fat.
  • Add olive oil to the skillet and heat until hot. Add butter and continue to cook until melted.
  • Add onion and garlic and sauté for 3 minutes, or until softened.
  • Stir in salt and pepper to taste and continue cooking for 3 minutes more.
  • Stir in flour and continue cooking for 1 minute more, or until the mixture forms a thick paste.
  • Pour mixture into a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown on top
