Using Cooked Basmati Rice (Method 1):

  • ½ cup basmati rice
  • 1 tsp oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ghee/clarified butter
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp coriander (finely chopped)
  • Water (for soaking and boiling)

Using a Pressure Cooker (Method 2):

  • 1 tsp ghee/clarified butter
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds/cumin seeds
  • ½ cup basmati rice
  • 1 cup of water
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp coriander (finely chopped)

How to make Jeera Rice Recipe step by step –

Using Cooked Basmati Rice:

Step 1

First, soak ½ cup basmati rice for 20 minutes.

Now boil 4 cups of water in a large pot.

When the water boils, add 1 tsp oil and ½ tsp salt to the soaked rice.

Mix well and boil for 8 minutes.
