To make PF Chang's Crispy Green Beans
- 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
For the spicy garlic sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
To make the crispy green beans
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, water, egg, salt, and pepper to make a smooth batter.
Dip the green beans into the batter, making sure they are evenly coated.
Carefully place the battered green beans into the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Remove the green beans from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
To make the spicy garlic sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, sugar, minced garlic, and rice vinegar.
Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. You can add more sriracha for extra heat, or more sugar if you prefer a sweeter sauce.
