- 6 ripe naseberries
- 2 cups of water
- 2 tablespoons of honey or sugar optional
- A pinch of salt
- Ice cubes for serving
Begin by washing the naseberries thoroughly under running water. Once clean, gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Then, remove the stem and cut the fruit in half. Use a spoon to scoop the flesh, discarding any seeds or tough parts. Place the naseberry flesh in a blender or food processor.
Add the 2 cups of water, honey or sugar (if desired), and a pinch of salt to the blender or food processor with the naseberry flesh. Pulse the mixture until you achieve a smooth consistency, ensuring no lumps or chunks.
Place a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth over a pitcher or large bowl. Slowly pour the blended mixture through the sieve, allowing the juice to separate from any remaining pulp or fibers. Press down with the back of a spoon to extract as much juice as possible.
Once strained, cover the pitcher or bowl and refrigerate the naseberry juice for at least 1 hour to enhance its flavor and allow it to chill.
