- 1 cup of semolina suji
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of rice flour
- 1/2 cup of yogurt
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of ginger paste
- 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
In a mixing bowl, combine the semolina, all-purpose flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, black pepper, ginger paste, and salt. Mix well.
Add the yogurt and mix again until the mixture forms a thick batter. Add a little water if the batter is too thick.
Add the chopped cilantro to the batter and mix well.
Heat oil in a deep pan for frying the vadas.
Take a small amount of batter in your hand and shape it into a round ball. Make a hole in the center with your thumb and shape it into a donut or doughnut shape.
Carefully drop the vada into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.
Remove the vada from the oil and place it on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
Repeat with the remaining batter.
