  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 large tomatoes diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions
 

  • Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
  • Prep the ingredients: While the pasta is cooking, mince the garlic, dice the tomatoes, and chop the basil leaves.
  • Saute the garlic: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and saute for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Add the tomatoes: Add the diced tomatoes to the skillet and saute for 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften.
  • Add the basil: Stir in the chopped basil leaves and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Combine the pasta and sauce: Add the cooked linguine pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
