Ingredients
  

  • Boneless chicken 500 grams
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Cream 1/2 cup
  • Tomato puree 1 cup
  • Onion 1, finely chopped
  • Garlic 5-6 cloves, minced
  • Ginger 1 inch, grated
  • Green chilies 2, chopped
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Kasuri methi 1 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, add boneless chicken, yogurt, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a handi or a deep pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil on medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  • Add finely chopped onions to the handi and sauté until they turn golden brown. Add minced garlic and grated ginger and sauté for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Add tomato puree, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and chopped green chilies. Mix well and let it cook for 5-6 minutes.
  • Add the marinated chicken to the handi and mix well. Cover the handi with a lid and let it cook for 15-20 minutes on low flame.
  • Add cream, garam masala powder, and kasuri methi to the handi. Mix well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with naan bread or steamed rice.
