Equipment

  • deep pot or a deep fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of pork loin or chicken breast
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 slices of white bread
  • Lettuce pickles, and mayonnaise, to taste

Instructions

  • Before you begin, make sure you have all of the ingredients and necessary equipment on hand. You will need a large, deep pot or a deep fryer to fry the meat, as well as a large, flat surface for breading the meat.
  • Start by preparing the meat. If you are using pork loin, slice it into 1/4-inch thick slices. If you are using chicken breast, slice it into 1/4-inch thick cutlets.
  • In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, salt, and pepper. In a separate shallow dish, beat the eggs. In a third shallow dish, mix together the bread crumbs.
  • Dip each piece of meat into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Next, dip the meat into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the meat in the bread crumbs, making sure it is evenly coated on all sides. Repeat the process with the remaining pieces of meat.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large, deep pot or deep fryer until it reaches 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Carefully place the breaded meat into the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until the breading is golden brown and the meat is cooked through.
  • Remove the fried meat from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain off any excess oil. Repeat the process with the remaining pieces of meat.
  • Assemble the sandwiches by placing a piece of fried meat on one slice of bread. Top the meat with lettuce, pickles, and mayonnaise, to taste. Top the sandwich with a second slice of bread and press gently to close.
