Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup ponzu sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Marinate the Chicken:

  • Combine the ponzu sauce, soy sauce, mirin, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a mixing bowl.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them.
  • Seal the bag gently massage it to ensure the chicken is evenly coated.
  • Place the bag in the refrigerator and let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, or ideally, overnight for maximum flavor infusion.

Cook the Chicken:

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess liquid to drip off.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Carefully place the chicken in the skillet and cook for about 6-8 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
