Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops 1-inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • To infuse the pork chops with incredible flavor, we'll create a mouthwatering marinade. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Mix them well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  • Generously coat both sides of the pork chops with the marinade mixture. Ensure that the chops are thoroughly coated and allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes. For the best results, you can cover the chops and refrigerate them overnight, letting the flavors penetrate the meat deeply.
  • Once the marinating process is complete, it's time to bring out the rich flavors by searing the pork chops. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully place the pork chops in the skillet and sear them for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they develop a beautiful golden-brown crust.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the seared pork chops to a baking dish and place them in the preheated oven. Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C). This ensures that the pork is juicy and cooked to perfection.
  • Once the pork chops are cooked, it's crucial to allow them to rest for a few minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute within the meat, resulting in tender and succulent chops. Tent the baking dish with aluminum foil and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
