Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes optional

Instructions
 

  • Start by toasting two slices of bread until they're golden brown.
  • While the bread is toasting, cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop out the avocado flesh and place it in a bowl.
  • Add one teaspoon of lemon juice to the bowl and mash the avocado with a fork until it's smooth and creamy. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Once the bread is toasted, spread the avocado mixture evenly on each slice.
  • If desired, sprinkle some red pepper flakes on top for an extra kick of flavor.

Notes

  • Before spreading it on bread, add a tablespoon of sour cream or Greek yogurt to the mashed avocado to make it creamier.
